Course Delivery
Wood Badge for the 21st Century will be presented over two three-day weekends. The weekend format commences on Friday at 8:00 a.m. and concludes the following Sunday by 5:00 p.m. The weekend format requires an interim patrol meeting prior to commencement of the second weekend. The first part of the new Wood Badge course reflects unit meetings, while the second part of the course uses a unit camping activity as its delivery model. During the first weekend you will sleep in your own tent using the patrol method and your meals will be provided for you. The second weekend you will backpack your equipment to a nearby site and cook your own meals as a patrol.

Wood Badge Ticket
The primary purpose of the Wood Badge experience is to strengthen Scouting in your units, districts, and local council. The Wood Badge “ticket” represents your commitment to complete a set of (5) personal goals in relation to your Scouting position. These goals will significantly strengthen the program in which you are involved. In addition, the ticket gives you an opportunity to practice and demonstrate a working knowledge of the leadership skills presented during the course. You will be assigned a ticket counselor to guide you to the completion of your ticket. Your Wood Badge ticket should be completed no later than 18 months after the course.
